This collection of photos shows a bit of my life aside from the cards.
I am an avid gardener and fine artist.
I express myself through the art on my walls, the fabrics in my house, the flowers and vegetables that grow in my gardens, and the creations I make out of branches. Much of the pleasure I derive from gardening comes from the fact that there is an abundance of honey bees, bumblebees and butterflies visiting the property. It brings me great joy to watch them and listen to their "busyness." I challenge myself to bring some creative touches to the landscape I am lucky enough to call home.
I like to tinker with old things and fix them up. Anything that is a bit rusty, worn, or dented and well-loved is special to me. I will most likely be able to put it to use somewhere.
Nature is full of the most beautiful patterns and designs and colors. It is a never-ending source of inspiration to me. Clouds, grasses swaying in a windy meadow, dry crunchy leaves, green grass, swaying brilliant pink cosmos, a tumbled stone wall soft with moss, heavy-headed sunflowers backed by an azure sky, the view from a mountain top, a neatly stacked woodpile.
My home is scattered with treasured belongings that reflect my love of nature: rocks, feathers, hunks of sinewy driftwood. I am gathering my own catalog of cloud photos; their variety and beauty is astonishing.
I hope you enjoy taking a look.
